When you copy a C.D. onto a computer, where do the songs go?

Dammit, second time today...
They are saved on your harddrive, in a folder of your choosing, I'd save them someware like, my Music, or MyDocuments, so that, you can always know wear ya put them...

Sorry about the double post thing, page refreshed before i could finish typing.

Yeah IC they usually either go in My Music, or if you have a program like CDEx they will go in that program's folders sometimes.

I can't find them anywhere. I didn't create a folder for them. Does this mean that they have disappeared?

Okay!

Not sure that'll work, I know a lot of manuals are bad, but hopefully that will at least tell you where it saves them. Also there may be a manual on yoru computer that came with the installation package when you installed the program, but this might not be accessible, i have no idea.
Sorry I oculdnt' help more. Good luck!

Here's what happens...When you copy the songs, from one cd to the other, they get cached in a temporary folder which is deleted when the job gets done and the program closes! That is why you can't find them. in order to save them to your computer, you would want to use CDEX, or some such program. hope that helps!

Yeah, CDex is really good, I love it, and it's free, I recommend it, you can get it at www.whitestick.co.uk, go to Downloads or wahtever it's called and it's there. It has a homepage too but I can't remember it sorry. Hope this helps!

Say no more! I use the program alot, and I can help with configuring it, and I do have msn if you use it, just add renegade_74@hotmail.com to your contact list, but if you don't use msn, just feel free to send quicknotes when ever I'm online, or send me a private message.

It has saved them on the computer, because as soon as i put another c.d. to burn with the same stuff, it gave me a list of two. I think it was the copies of the same c.d. on there.

Hi IC, Yeah, if you can't access the files, I'd recommend getting CDex, and RR was the one who jelped me with mine, so he's a good helper, trust me hehehe.

No problem, good luck with this, I know RR will help you out if you decide to get CDex. It's really quite simple, and I think you'll like it.
